Thanksgiving and Black Friday Forecast

Lexington Forecast 

This Thanksgiving's forecast will be much different from last years! Last year's high on Thanksgiving was only 40°F, but this year will be much warmer. Our high on Thanksgiving will be close to 70°F degrees, and we will be dry. Rain will eventually move in Friday, and it looks to continue the whole weekend. Up to 2 inches of rain could fall by the end of weekend.
  • Wednesday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 61. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph
  • Wednesday Night -  Partly cloudy, with a low around 47. South southeast wind around 10 mph.
  • Thanksgiving Day - Mostly cloudy, with a high near 66. South southeast wind around 10 mph. 
  • Thursday Night - Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57. South southeast wind around 10 mph
  • Friday - Cloudy skies with periods of light rain later in the day. High near 65F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 70%.
  • Friday Night - Rain likely. Low 54F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall around a half an inch.
  • Saturday - Periods of rain. High 62F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 90%. Rainfall around a quarter of an inch.

 Thanksgiving Sales and Black Friday Forecast

Are you going shopping for Thanksgiving or Black Friday? Thanksgiving will be dry, but if you are going to the later sales on Friday, rain will be likely. Rain chances will increase throughout the day. The below forecast is for Thanksgiving Day through Black Friday.

  • 5 p.m. Thanksgiving Day (Best Buy and Toys-R-Us) - 63°F. Partly Cloudy.
  • 6 p.m. (Walmart, Macy's, Kohl's, and Sears) - 60°F. Partly Cloudy.
  • 7 p.m. (Kmart) - 59°F. Partly Cloudy.
  • 8 p.m. - 58°F. Partly Cloudy.
  • 6 a.m. Black Friday (Tractor Supply) - 55°F. 20% Showers.
  • 7 a.m. (Sam's Club and Office Depot) - 54°F. 25% Showers.

Travel Forecast 

     Are you going to be traveling during the holiday weekend? Most of the country will be dry until Thursday. Thanksgiving Day travel will be a headache if you are traveling to the western parts of the country. The system will continue to slide east and the eastern U.S. will be impacted for Friday and the weekend.
