Heat Advisory

...EXCESSIVE HEAT TO AFFECT THE MIDSOUTH THROUGH AT LEAST TUESDAY 
EVENING... 
 
.EXCESSIVE HEAT WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD ACROSS THE MIDSOUTH FROM 
THE WEST...INCREASING AND EXPANDING THROUGH WEDNESDAY. 
HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE MIDDLE AND UPPER 90S COMBINED WITH HIGH 
HUMIDITY WILL PRODUCE HEAT INDEX READINGS BETWEEN 105 AND 
110 DEGREES FROM LATE MORNING TO EARLY EVENING ACROSS NORTHEAST 
AND EAST CENTRAL ARKANSAS...THE MISSOURI BOOTHEEL...PORTIONS OF 
WEST TENNESSEE...AND NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI. OVERNIGHT LOW 
TEMPERATURES FROM THE MIDDLE 70S TO LOWER 80S WILL PROVIDE LITTLE 
RELIEF FOR THOSE WITHOUT AIR CONDITIONING. 
THE HEAT ADVISORY HAS BEEN EXPANDED TO INCLUDE THE REMAINDER OF 
WEST TENNESSEE AND NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI FROM LATE TUESDAY 
MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING. 
HEAT ADVISORIES OR EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNINGS WILL LIKELY NEED TO BE 
EXPANDED FOR MORE OF THE MIDSOUTH THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEMPHIS HAS ISSUED A HEAT 
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 8 PM CDT TUESDAY. 
 
* HEAT INDEX READINGS...BETWEEN 105 AND 110 DEGREES. 
 
* TIMING...HOTTEST PART OF THE DAY BETWEEN 11 AM AND 8 PM. 
 
* IMPACTS...INCREASED RISK OF HEAT-RELATED ILLNESSES INCLUDING 
HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT STROKE IF YOU DO NOT TAKE THE PROPER 
PRECAUTIONS.
