Level III State of Emergency Declared for Tennessee

    The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency declared a Level III state of emergency Thursday due to weather forecasts of a major winter weather system that will move into West Tennessee Friday. There are five levels of operation, with V being normal and I being catastrophic. A Level III Declaration of State Emergency means that a serious emergency has occurred or the situation is deteriorating rapidly. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for all areas of West Tennessee.
