Heat Advisory Extended

...HOT AND HUMID CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT THE ENTIRE 
MID-SOUTH THROUGH WEDNESDAY WHICH WILL MARK THE LAST DAY OF THE 
PROLONGED HEAT WAVE ACROSS THE REGION. COOLER TEMPERATURES AND 
LOWER HUMIDITY ARE FORECAST FOR THE END OF THE WEEK... 
 
.EXCESSIVE HEAT WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD ACROSS THE MIDSOUTH FROM 
THE WEST...INCREASING AND EXPANDING THROUGH WEDNESDAY. 
HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE MIDDLE AND UPPER 90S COMBINED WITH HIGH 
HUMIDITY WILL PRODUCE HEAT INDEX READINGS BETWEEN 105 AND 
110 DEGREES FROM LATE MORNING TO EARLY EVENING ACROSS THE MID- 
SOUTH. OVERNIGHT LOW TEMPERATURES FROM THE MIDDLE 70S TO LOWER 
80S WILL PROVIDE LITTLE RELIEF FOR THOSE WITHOUT AIR CONDITIONING. 
THE HEAT ADVISORY HAS BEEN EXTENDED THROUGH WEDNESDAY WHICH HAS 
THE POTENTIAL TO BE THE MOST DANGEROUS DAY OF HEAT AS HEAT 
INDICES APPROACH 110 DEGREES ACROSS MUCH OF THE REGION. A COLD 
FRONT IS FORECAST TO MOVE THROUGH MID-SOUTH WEDNESDAY NIGHT 
BRINGING AN END TO THE HEAT AND HUMIDITY. 
 
...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT WEDNESDAY... 
 
* HEAT INDEX READINGS...BETWEEN 105 AND 110 DEGREES. OVERNIGHT LOW 
TEMPERATURES IN THE MIDDLE AND UPPER 70S WILL PROVIDE LITTLE 
RELIEF FOR THOSE WITHOUT AIR CONDITIONING. 
 
* TIMING...HOTTEST PART OF THE DAY BETWEEN 11 AM AND 8 PM. 
UNCOMFORTABLY WARM AND HUMID THROUGH THE REST OF THE PERIOD. 
 
* IMPACTS...INCREASED RISK OF HEAT-RELATED ILLNESSES INCLUDING 
HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT STROKE IF YOU DO NOT TAKE THE PROPER 
PRECAUTIONS.
